Lil Divas Bowtique Turns ONE! :)

Happy birthday to us!  

Hard to believe, but it's been almost one whole year since we started this Etsy adventure!

And what a year it's been!  It all started with our signature item - the bow holder.  As so many other crafters before me can relate, it was simply a matter of seeing an item, looking at it twice, and thinking 'I can do that!!'   A few twists and changes to the overall design, lots of experimentation with materials, and the first three bow holders were complete.  One was a present for my niece.  Another, for a good friend's daughter's first birthday.  And the third, for my cousin's baby shower.  A few pleasant reactions later, Lil Divas Bowtique on Etsy was born on April 5, 2010. 

I've made many more bow holders since those early days and am delighted to be a part of 'turning clutter into cute' in so many homes.  I love taking custom orders and transforming your decor wishes into a one of a kind, personalized bow holder. 

 

Hat holders were added next - a great way to store all the accessories for your lil divas - and finally, there was something for lil dudes, too!  

 

Our next additions allowed us to do even more with our ribbons.  I upgraded from hand to machine sewing (yowza!) and searched every nook and cranny for fun, fresh, strong ribbon for our Sophie leashes, pacifier clips, mitten clips and belt buddies.  

 

 

At customer request, we started exploring the headbands for little girls concept.  I had a blast scouring the internet and craft stores for beautiful flowers and embellishments and have loved putting these together.   And my niece loves modelling them, too!  

 

So what's next for Lil Divas?  Well, we've already started on our line of tactile blankets for babies.  Beautiful fabrics on one side, uber soft minky on the reverse, and four ribbon loops or strips on each side.  

And brand, brand new to the shop are the new coffee sleeves!  Made with the same materials as our tactile blankies, these brightly patterned sleeves help keep away the heat and are always in style!  How cute to have mom or dad's coffee sleeve match their lil dude or diva's blankie?  :)
