What more could you want?
At around the same age when birthday parties become a little less fun, it becomes so fun to plan them for others - be it a niece, a nephew, a neighbour, or your own child. Today, there are so many creative ways to make a child's birthday fun, memorable, beautiful, and of course, Heartfelt!
I've been busy creating lots of new items (check out the latest in my shop), including lots of fun things for birthday parties! Our very own Love, From Nora and I were chatting about birthday wreaths. I'd had one on the brain for a few weeks prior to this chat, but when Love, From Nora sent me a photo of one she'd seen, I knew I just had to make one! Here's what I came up with:
This was so fun to make! I hand-cut all the felt letters (it gave me an excuse to buy super sharp new scissors, hoorah), cut out lots of little triangles to make my own bunting, made some fabric flowers, used some of my favourite floral cabochon beads, and voila!
I wanted this wreath to be re-usable. It's too cute to only use once, right? The rainbow bunting allows this wreath to match any number of colour schemes. In addition, the felt number is easily interchangeable! Attached by a yarn loop, simply snip the yarn and I'll send you a new number!
Of course, this can be totally customised: wreath size, yarn colour, bunting colour, number of bunting flags/strands, flower style...the list goes on!
And, one lovely lady from Kentucky decided to do just that! This is what I came up with for her:
So cute! I was so pleased with them, I decided to take hold of the birthday theme and created a few different kinds of cupcake flags.
Classic triangle flags.
Two-Layer Felt Balloon Flags, with String!
Lollipop flags! How fun are these? They were inspired by Love, From Nora, too!
As always, everything is completely customizable. I have tons of felt colours to choose from, so don't be afraid to ask! Also, as you can see, I LOVE custom orders! I think they encourage both you, and I, to be creative. What's better than that?
All of the above items are available in my Etsy shop. Come say hello on my Facebook Page, too!
