And they called it puppy love...

You gotta love Etsy.  There really is something for everyone, and anytime I search for something, even something insanely remote or obscure, item after item is returned to me and off to explore I go.

While I know I'll never be able to search every nook and cranny that is Etsy-land, I do so adore exposing myself to entirely new-to-me genres that went completely unnoticed in the past.

Etsy is, at its core, lifestyle driven.  You have kids?  Etsy is a great place to look for children's items.  Moving into a new home?  Let Etsy show you all the wonderful ways to decorate and outfit your charming abode.  Holidays are coming?  Ideas abound for everyone on your list from geek to chic.

And yes, even when you're getting a new puppy, Etsy refuses to disappoint.

Perusing the pet provisions, particularly the puppy part, was at points perplexing but penultimately, perfectly pleasant.  :)  How wonderful the offerings were when I first peeked through the pet curtain!  So many insanely cute items from which to choose!  Gone were all thoughts of need and in their place, want!  Desperate want!

And so in the great Etsy tradition of keeping track of all the things you like based on a single theme, I hereby happily present to you my Puppy Love treasury for your perusal:

So cute! So.freakin.cute. Do I need most of it? Nope. Does my soon to arrive Wheaten terrier who will be but nine weeks old when we bring him home September 4th need most of it? Nope. But the want...ohhhhh the want. On my part, anyway. Likely not the puppy's.

We've never had children of our own to spoil as babies, so watch out pup - you're in for a pretty spoiled ride! Maybe some of these items might even make an appearance at the puppy shower we're having? How delightful would that be?

Yes, you did read that right. We're having a puppy shower to welcome Finn (short for Finnian) into the family. Again, never was able to have a baby shower so I'm going for it. I really just want the cake and the super cute decorations.

It's a boy. And he's adorable. And I expect to be exploring the pet corners of Etsy for years and years to come now.

So go on, explore! You'll find everything you never knew you always wanted! :)

  1. This post warms my heart! What an adorable treasury! I love scouring puppy stuff on Etsy, I have a 10 m/o pup named Lewis! I really wanted to name Lewis, Finn, but Lewis prevailed.

I can't wait to see photos of your wheaten!
