Name inspiration and vintage love
The name for my Etsy shop, Lil Punkin Creations was inspired by my son. He was an autumn babe, and I just started calling him Punkin' and it stuck.
So, today I am going to post about the fun family day I had yesterday. My son will be 2 next month, and his main loves are tractors and choo choos! I found out about a month ago, that the "A Day With Thomas" the train tour was coming within a few hours of us, and instantly decided that would be his 2nd birthday present. What a fun day we had, and I have never seen so many strollers in one place before. They have a mock engine that looks like Thomas, with about 7 cars holding 200 people each, with a ride going every half hour. So, you can imagine the amount of people! But it was still so much fun. Here are a few photos from our day:

Also, I am a history nerd, and love old advertising, especially from about 1890-1930. The train cars used for this ride were restored 1920's era. They were lined with vintage ads for mostly cooking/baking and medicinal products. I took some shots of them because I just thought they were groovy cool. I would love to collect such things, but I have no idea where I would put them or display them. I especially love the Heinz ketchup ad, since we use that in our own home still today!
I hope you all have a great week!
