My Lil Punkin' is 2!

So, as the post below mentioned, my little guy and name inspiration for my shop turned 2 on Friday. Yesterday was his birthday party, and we had such fun! It was a laid back party at a local park. The weather was perfect, lots of sunshine. I was born in January, so I love that I had an early fall baby so I can sneak in an outdoor party before the chill of winter sets in. The theme was tractors, and of course, there were a few Etsy touches in the details that I wanted to share! First, the invitation! This was created for my by a fellow WB member who owns Dawn's Design on Etsy. She was awesome to work with, and I love that she creates the file and emails it to you, so you can print as many as you want on your own computer, or like I did, send it to a store to print and pick up! Here is a decent shot of Kieran's personalized t-shirt for the occasion! This came from My Personalized TShirt on Etsy. The shirt was a nice, heavy, high quality tee, and it arrived quickly. I was so happy with it. These tractor cookies were so adorable! I scored these on a Heartsy deal from Two Southern Girls. It looks like the Etsy shop is empty now, but that they have a regular website to order from. I definitely recommend them. The cookies arrived just before the party as promised, and packaged well. Not a single cookie was broken upon arrival. The birthday banner, loot buckets and tags, and centerpieces were all created by me, of course! For the loot buckets, I used adhesive vinyl to personalize each one. Each one had a TY tag that read "Thanks for chugging on over to Kieran's party!" Inside the loot bucket was sidewalk chalk, a swirly straw, bouncy ball, farm coloring book with these awesome tractor crayons from Doodle R Us. I also got this with another Heartsy deal, and her customer service was FANTASTIC! Highly recommend! Here are the centerpieces I put together. I used mason jars and tied on green, yellow or red ribbon around the lip of the jar. Each one had 3 carnations in red, yellow and light green with a decorative pick. The pick was 2 sided. One side was the same tag as I attached onto the loot buckets, the other side said "Kieran is 2!" with a red tractor. And my favorite decoration was the banner I made for my little guy. More tractors of course, with the theme colors of red, yellow, and green. Here are a few cake photos for good measure too! I made both of them. The little tractor cake was just for my son, but that tipped over in travel from our house to the park! Oops! The "dirt" on the main cake was crushed up chocolate wafers. Notice the little 2 year-old hands stealing a tractor cookie... I made the mini pennant banner behind the cake too. It was meant to be ON the cake, but I made it too big. So I improvised with it! So, that was the big day. It was full of family, friends, food and fun. We wouldn't have had it any other way. Julie Lil Punkin Creations Etsy Shop Lil Punkin Creations Facebook page
