With a busy Etsy shop, I don't often have much time to sew for pleasure - or for people other than customers :) But when a good friend invited us to his daughter's 3rd birthday party, I had to purchase this dress pattern for a fun loving, energetic little girl! Also, it's fun to sew for a girl :)

Pattern:
Girl's ruffle hoody dress

Price point: 5/5
Priced comparably to other PDF dress patterns on Etsy.
Ease of use: 3.5/5
This pattern does require some sewing knowledge. It wasn't hard to follow, but definitely needed a bit of deciphering. The photos don't always match up with the directions on the tutorial. However, with the different parts of the dress being in different coloured fabrics it was easy to see what part you should be working on!
Pattern easy to cut out/all the pieces lined up: 5/5
When buying PDF patterns they come in many pieces. There were 24 pages to tape together and then cut the pieces out of, but everything lined up perfectly! Very easy to see which size was which due to the colour coding.
Final product: 5/5
I thought the dress I made turned out perfectly! All the seams lined up, nothing was uneven or wonky. It went together very smoothly.
Total time: ~5 hours
This included printing off the pattern, putting the pattern together, cutting out the fabric and sewing.
Would I make it again?
Heck, ya! What do you think?
Fabric used: 100% quilting cotton, 100% printed cotton, small metal grommets, satin ribbon used for the hood drawstring, wooden buttons
