I did it!!

Last week I received an email from a customer asking me if I could do a custom mermaid set order for her. She had a picture of what she wanted & sent it along. When I looked at it I noticed that it was clearly crochet. I know absolutely nothing about crochet except that it is not knitting! So I responded back and told her that it was crochet and I didn't know how to crochet; I only knit. She responded again asking if I could still make the crochet mermaid in knitting. A challenge!! I must admit, at first the thought scared me because of course I didn't a pattern to follow. I had been challenged told her I would definitely try to make one similar for her if that's what she wanted. I really surprised myself. I did the whole thing free handed off my knitting experience. I must admit it turned out better than I thought it would. So I thought I would share the inspiration crochet picture & finished knitted mermaid set picture to see what you think?
